I speak about identity, feminism, resilience and the courage it takes to challenge the narratives we inherit and create lives on our own terms. My work draws from my debut memoir, Can You Handle a Girl Like Me? (Penguin Random House Australia), my lived experience of rebuilding my identity, and my professional background working with women, girls and communities across different parts of the world.

Growing up in a highly restrictive environment with limited access to formal education, I know what it means to question the stories we are given about who we are allowed to become. My journey has been one of self-education, reinvention and learning to define my own identity beyond the expectations placed upon me.

Before becoming an author, I worked in gender-based violence prevention, youth homelessness, and entrepreneurship. I have worked internationally, including with a US-based not-for-profit across Africa supporting programs focused on sexual violence prevention and empowering women to educate and protect young girls within their communities. These experiences shaped my understanding of the systems, beliefs and social expectations that influence women’s lives.

I explore what it means to find your voice, reclaim your autonomy and redefine success, belonging and identity beyond the roles we are often expected to play. I create honest, thought-provoking conversations that encourage audiences to challenge limiting narratives, embrace change and consider what becomes possible when we choose our own path.
